The Clubhouse shall be open to
Members and their guests on the following schedule. This schedule may be amended as approved by the Board of
Directors.
The dining room and lounge will be
open Tuesday through Sunday during the months of April through September, and
from Tuesday through Saturday during the months of March, October, November,
and December. The Clubhouse scheduled
hours of operation during those open days are as follows:

Members and their Guests are not
permitted on the golf course or in the Clubhouse without decent and proper
attire. Tank tops, cut-off jeans,
offensive tee shirts will not be allowed.
Any special dress code for Club events will be specifically stated in
announcements of the events.

Policies
These rules may be amended from time to time by the respective committee with the approval of the Board of Directors.
GOLF RULES
These rules will be enforced by the Groundskeeper and Club Manager. Members should report all violations to the Board, Groundskeeper, or Club Manager.
1. All Members must register at the pro shop before teeing off.
2. All Members must register guests at the pro shop before teeing off.
3. On days when the “Course Closed” sign is displayed, no play will be allowed; Any instructional or directional sign displayed on the course or in the Clubhouse shall be adhered to.
4. Golf Members and their guests are entitled to full use of the course during periods established by the Grounds Keeper.
5. All golf outings must be approved by the Board and will be published. (Generally limited to the days of Monday, Tuesday, Friday)
6. Guests of golf Members are entitled to use of the course under the following conditions:
a. Payment of the fixed green fees: $20.00 for weekdays for 18 holes of golf; $24.00 on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. (Payment for nine holes will be half price on that day.)
b. Members’ guests residing within a 50-mile radius are limited to three (3) days golf privileges when vouched for and accompanied by an active golf Member.
c. Members’ guests residing outside a 50-mile radius are entitled to full golf privileges when vouched for and accompanied by an active golf Member.
d. Social Members are allowed 5 rounds of golf privileges (must pay green fees).
7. Social Members are not entitled to take guests on the golf course.
8. Golf cart regulations:
a. No one under 16 years of age shall drive a powered cart unless accompanied by an adult.
b. Keep all carts at least 30 feet away from tee blocks, greens, sand traps, and areas between sand traps and greens.
c. Please limit the number of golf carts per foursome to two (2).
9. All players must begin on the No. 1 tee, unless permission is given by the Club Manager to advance to another hole. When not starting on No. 1 tee, players going to another hole must make sure there is at least one full hole between them and the players in front and behind them.
10. No practice putting, except on the putting green.
11. Do not hit long iron shots to the practice green.
12. Do not hit long iron shots near the practice green in the Clubhouse area.
13. No practice driving from tees.
14. Golf bags and pull carts are to be kept off the greens, tees, and sand traps. Use caution in dropping the flagstick on the green.
15. Only flat shoes and soft spike golf shoes are allowed on the greens.
16. Dogs are not allowed to run loose on the golf course.
17. No vehicles are allowed on the course, except in case of an emergency.
18. Keep course clean by throwing rubbish, such as paper, bottles, cans, can tops, cigarettes, etc., in the trash receptacles.
19. Do not throw cigarettes on the greens.
20. Playing rules:
a. Tee off only between the markers on each hole.
b. Replace turf on fairway shots.
c. Repair ball marks on the greens
d. Allow faster players to play through.
e. No player should play the ball until the party in front is out of range.
f. Player is responsible for smoothing out the sand traps.
g. A shirt must be worn on the golf course at all times.
h. U.S.G.A. rules apply unless modified by local rules.
i. April thru August - no more than a foursome may play, except during league, Calcutta, special outings or tournament play.
j. Previous year’s handicap may be used until June 1. At that time you must have at least five (5) rounds to have an established handicap for the current year in order to play in handicapped events.
21. Local rules:
a. Out of bounds around the outside perimeter of the course is designated by the white stakes. In the center of the fairways there are 100, 150, 200 and 250 yard flat markers. The road between holes 1 and 2 is a safety hazard. All balls on or across road going either way, is to be put back into play where it went out with one stroke penalty.
b. When playing “winter rules” as we do, you may improve your lie any place in your own fairway. Your ball must not be touched if it is in a hazard (sand, in the rough, or in another fairway).
c. Hole 6: If you go into the pond on No. 6, you may hit from the tee or you may go down and hit from next to the water. Count both strokes and add a one-stroke penalty.
d. Hole 7: When playing across the road on No. 7, you may lay out of the ditch without penalty, but you may not lay closer to the hole. If you are in the ditch across the road, you may either play as it lies or bring it back to the other side of the road and take a free drop.
e. Hole 7: If your ball lands in the ditch along the south side of No. 7 fairway, PLAY THIS BALL AS IS.
f. Hole 7: If your ball hits a wire when you are playing No. 7, you may hit again but you must play the second ball.
g. Ball must be moved from improvements to the golf course, such as new sod and new trees, so as not to interfere with their growth. (New trees will be approximately two (2) inches in diameter.)
h. Players finishing their front nine will alternate with those players starting on No. 1 tee.
i. If your ball lands on the wrong putting green - as on No. 1, when you are playing No. 7 - you get a free drop no closer to the hole you are playing. Never hit a ball from another green.
j. Unmovable obstruction (anything artificial), you get free relief if it affects your stance or swing, within one Club length of your relief point no nearer to the hole.
The Board asks your cooperation in abiding by these rules.
These rules are prepared in an effort to keep the course beautiful, to speed up
play, and consequently, to further your enjoyment while playing golf at
Kaskaskia Country Club.

MEMBERSHIP
POLICIES
1. Sale or transfer of Certificates is subject to the prior approval of the Board of Directors.
2. Life Memberships are available to certificate holders and entitle such Member and spouse full Club privileges for the balance of their lives. This includes unmarried dependent children under the age of twenty-two (22) and still considered a student in good standing. The Board of Directors will determine the cost of a Life Membership when a request for such a Membership is made.
3. Full Family Memberships are available to certificate holders at an annual cost of $870.00. The Member, spouse, and all unmarried dependent children under the age of twenty-two (22) and still considered a student in good standing are entitled to Club privileges for the current year. Individuals have the option of not holding a certificate and paying an additional $25.00 per year fee.
4. Single Golf Memberships are available to certificate holders at an annual cost of $665.00. The Member is entitled to Club privileges, while the spouse and all unmarried dependent children under the age of twenty-two (22) and still considered a student in good standing are entitled only to Clubhouse privileges for the current calendar year. Individuals have the option of not holding a certificate and paying an additional $25.00 per year fee.
5. Student golf Memberships are available to any student in good standing who has not turned twenty-two (22) years of age for an annual cost of $220.00. A high school student who is on a golf team will receive a discount of $50.00 off of the $220.00. The student Member, at age 22, may not transfer that Membership to a single golf or full family golf Member without paying one half of the current initiation fee. Student Members are not allowed the following:
a. Use of the Clubhouse for private parties.
b. To bring guests, including parents or family Members.
c. Playing privileges on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) before 4:00 p.m. until at least 16 years of age, unless accompanied by an adult and Member of the Club, or if a parent is a golfing Member of the Club.
d. Participation in Friday night scrambles, Calcutta’s, and the Okaw Tournament unless 18 years of age.
6. New Full Family Golf Memberships and Single Golf Memberships must pay an initiation fee of $200.00. A former Full Family Golf or Single Golf Member may rejoin one time without paying an initiation fee. A present Full Family Golf or Single Golf Member is allowed to drop their Membership one time only and rejoin without paying an initiation fee. Dependent children who were Members under the Full Family Golf Membership who have reached the age of twenty-two (22) and Junior Golf Members who have reached the age of twenty-two (22) and no longer qualify for this type of Membership may change their Membership status (i.e., become Full Family Golf or Single Golf Members) by paying dues for the Membership and one half of the current initiation fee.
7. When new applicants apply for Membership it is required that payment for such Membership, initiation fee and any other fees that apply to that type of Membership be sent with the application.
8. Ministers will receive a $100.00 discount on any Golf Membership and $15.00 discount on a Social Membership.
9. Social Memberships are available to those approved with an annual cost of $280.00. The Member, spouse, and all unmarried children under the age of twenty-two (22) and still considered a student in good standing are entitled to Clubhouse privileges only for the current calendar year.
10. Corporate Memberships are for businesses at the cost of $545. This is good for 20 rounds of golf only on Monday-Friday and not during league play. The cost includes $25.00 per year fee and $100.00 food coupons.
11. Complimentary golf privileges will be granted to Club Manager and Greens keeper, their married spouse and dependent children living at home. Any other employee of the Club will have golfing privileges on Mondays or any other day after 5:00 p.m. Golfing privileges are not extended to any employee of the Club Manager.
12. A $100.00 annual minimum dining room charge is imposed on all Full Family Golf, Single Golf and Social Membership. Upon payment of dues, the Member will be sent or given a food coupon card in the amount of $100.00. Each Member may use the coupon even if a total bill is less than $10.00. Cards will be punched each time they are used.
13. Additional food coupons (Bogey Bucks) may be purchased from the club manager.
14. Cart stalls for the storage of privately owned powered carts may be available to Members only at an annual fee of $195.00 for the current calendar year. If a cart stall is assigned to a Member after July 1 of the current calendar year, the fee for the balance of the current calendar will be $110.00. A Member will be charged $110.00 per year if he owns a cart but does not store the cart at the Club. Effective November 1, 2000 - In order to retain cart storage you must be a Full Family, Single or Life Member in good standing with dual ownership recorded with the Club Manager. No cart storage will be issued to Student or Social Memberships.
15. Kaskaskia Country Club is not responsible for loss or damage to any personal items left on Club property.
NOTE: To obtain a cart stall, a Member first shall submit in writing a request to be assigned a cart stall. This request shall be given to the Club Manger, who will put the Member’s request on the waiting list. When a cart stall becomes available, the Club Manager shall assign the available cart stall to the first Member on the waiting list. A cart stall may not be transferred by a Member to any other Member, even if the new owner of the cart purchased the cart from a Member who had a cart stall.
