After discussion and thought it was decided to change the charges to the following: Non members rent of large dinning room will be $400.00 flat fee. The small dinning room will be rented to Non members for $100.00. Members of the club will be charged $150.00 for large room and $25.00 for small. The board will ask Cindy and Dennis to please fill out the forms from the past to make taking easier.

Debbie reported that Clyde had not paid the rent in January or February. Chad was going to talk to him.

Groundskeeper – Kevin Bishop

Kevin and Corey have cut down most of the dead tree, cleaned up and burnt brush.

Darrell Comer is going to advise Kevin in removing the add alphas.  It will be taken to Pana for repair and installation of soft start.

With the new parking lot Kevin does not have the equipment to clear the snow. He would like to have a blade to put on the Massey tractor or look for someone to come and plow the lot. Dave Gilbert knows some men that do this and will contact them for pricing.

Kevin mentioned that board should be aware of the poor condition the sheds where in. With the new equipment we are purchasing there is no decent place to store the equipment. Gunner said there is plenty of room in the cart shed to put the newer equipment for the winter.

Kevin did not receive his renewal for pesticide license due to it having a wrong address. When he called about this he also found out that the classes and tests that he wanted Corey to take had already been given. They are sending Kevin a renewal to the right address and a list of tests and classes in Springfield that Corey can take.

They are working on the deck of the fareway mower repairing the shrouds.

Kevin was given a drawing of what some would like done to the cleared area west of the garage. It would be for a practice area with chipping green, sand trap, and place to hit ball into a net. Kevin Hohlbaugh is getting pricing on a net and how to install it. Watering is another issue to look at.

Manager – Dennis Jumper

Carpets cleaned & hood system cleaned. No smoking signs are up at all doors even the back. The kitchen and restroom floors will be cleaned and sealed next week. Dennis and Chad are going to get together and write a letter to be put in the news letter to explain that Bogie and KCC are to separate identities. Dennis was told about the room rental changes and asks to use the forms for rental.

Dennis reported that the ice machine was not working or if it was very slow.

Merv Electric is to call Dennis to look at putting new circuits in the bar area. We need three to four.

Dennis is planning on opening the first of March with a Thursday, Friday and Saturday schedule.

Club house – Dave Gilbert

The reach in cooler in the bar is going to need replace or repaired. The compressor is on top and that is not a good situation for the area. Repairs on the compressor could run $650.00 in parts then labor added to that.

Dave presented a bid for a new liquid cooled ice machine. Installed and ready to run for $4250.00. Dick Heim made a motion to purchase the machine with Dave Gilbert second. Motion carried.

Dick Heim ask about the meld drew under the building. Chad is going to check but feels sure it is under control with the dehumidifier and the process used before. Dick also ask about the heating and cooling in the conference room up stairs. Dave is going to check with RC plumbing about that and where the gas shut off is for the club house and house.

Grounds and Greens – Gerald Taylor

Gunner ask if he could purchase a hose reel. He also needed a portable air tank. The board gave permission to purchase the hose reel and Dick had a compressor that he is giving to the club.

Gunner also wants to rent a saw to trim the cotton wood tree on number six. The cost of the rental will be $60.00.

We are in need of closest to the pin cards and Kevin is showing them to Jill to see if she can make them.

Gunner had pictures of the sign for keeping carts off the greens. They are $12.00 a piece and the board thought we should purchase 16 at this time. They will say” No cars beyond this here”

Gunner presented the quote on a new greens mower. The cost of the mower is $22,163.89. This mower is a New 2008 Toro Greens master 3100 with 11 blade cutting unit. We will keep the old mower to use on the T blocks. We will keep the groomers to use on this mower.  John Connor had a spread sheet on the financing of the mower. He said that the money in the Jimbo account could be used on the mower and will let us know the amount next week. Kevin Hohlbaugh made a motion to purchase the above mower out right and use the money from the Jimbo account. Dave Gilbert second motion and motion carried. They were contacting John to have the mower delivered as soon as possible.

Social/Membership – Dick Heim

Dick has the social calendar made and is meeting with Dennis and Cindy to finalize the plans for the year.

New Business:

Al Foreman will be given all of the suggestions for the 2008 Yearbook. He will up date all information.

Jill had a list that she needed completed before the Web page could be up dated. Most of the information will be in the new yearbook. Gunner is going to get the rest of the information to her. Dick ask that a lot more be put on about the golf club and more events for them to participate in. Kevin informed the club that Jill could do all of this but she may have to have more money to do it. She is only being paid $30.00 a month and that is extremely cheap for web work.

The board of directors would like to extend the deepest sympathy to the family of C.W. Van Gundy. C. W. was president of Kaskaskia in 1962. He will be missed by all.

Dick Heim made a motion the meeting be adjourned with Kevin Hohlbaugh second.

Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully Submitted
