Kaskaskia Country Club Board Meeting
April 2, 2008
President Chad Strader called the April 2, 2008 meeting of
the Kaskaskia Country Club Board meeting to order. Those present: Al Froman,
Gerald Taylor, Dick Hein, Kevin Hohlbauch, Butch Mast, Dave Gilbert and Debbie
Chenoweth. Greens keeper Kevin Bishop was also present.
The board reviewed the minutes from March 5, 2008. Al Froman
made a motion to accept and Dave Gilbert second. Motion carried.
We had twelve new applications for membership and six
changes in membership. Kevin Hohlbauch made a motion to accept all members and
changes Dave Gilbert second the motion. Motion carried.
All bills where reviewed. Debbie will talk to John Connor
about getting money from the Jimbo fund for the greens mower. Dick Hein made a
motion to pay all bills and Gunner Taylor second. Motion carried.
The list of paid members was reviewed and decided due to
inclement weather no notices would be sent until next month. We received two
months rent from Clyde as was agree.
Dave Gilbert made a motion to accept the treasures report
and Dick Hein second. Motion carried.
Green keepers:
Kevin Bishop
- Kevin
reported add a phase was installed.
- The
new greens mower is here.
- Corey
passed his pesticide test. The board agreed to give him a 0.50 raise.
- Kevin
has hired Kevin Gibson of Arcola to work this summer. Rate of pay 8.00 per
hour.
- Kevin
would like the following signs replace. Course closed and cart paths only.
We are getting different bids.
- Kevin
is to start a new greens nursery south of the 17 tee block. This will not
be functional until next year. The cost is not to exceed $1,000.00 with
out approval.
- Kevin
reported a big screen TV and other junk dumped behind cart shed.
Butch Mast presented a proposal for new equipment shed for
Kevin. The cost would be around the $35,000 range. It is something for everyone
to think about. Until then the board thing moving carts around so a place can
be made in the winter for some of the new equipment.
Managers: Dennis

- Floor
tile in hall is looking bad. Wright Furniture will be contacted and asked
for a rep from Antic to come look at the floor.

asked for list of junior golfers that have paid. He will let them play one
time and then have to have their money.
- Dennis
had eight of the new dinning room chairs that need repair. Butch will pick
the up and take care of that.
- The
door to the storage room needs repaired.
- Dennis
would like to close the big dinning room on rainy and slow nights. If
there are complaints from the members this will have to stop.
- The
members will be able to use March food coupons later as the cards where
not done on time.
- The
room rent for the Raggedy Ann will be $100.00 for each day

Kitchen gave Dave a phone number and web site to check out the update.
Debbie will do this. It is our
concern regarding a back up for the system
- The
gates that hide the trash need to be fixed so they will lock and not
swing.

old ice machine in to locker room. Discussed running water

brush matt was looked at for $350.00. Dave made a motion to purchase this
and Kevin second. Motion carried

got approval to purchase a hose real with hose from S & K.
- The top
soil coming in is still a go. Waiting on weather to clear.
Social: Dick Hein
- Casino
night was a success for club but not many ate at the buffet
- Sock
Hop in April will be CDs and it will be an order from menu meal
- The
ladies have asked that green fees be waved for their Ladies guest day.
Kevin made a motion to wave green fees and Dick second.
- Discussion
on having a golf cart raffle this year. We will get pricing on a new cart
for this raffle.

for all golf events are set

There was no new business.
